Trail & Access Road Clearing
Clear trails through woods and brush for ATV access, hunting property, walking paths, and farm lanes — starting at $800.
Access to the back of your property shouldn't mean fighting through brush and fallen branches. Whether you need a trail to reach a hunting stand, an ATV path through wooded acreage, or a farm lane for seasonal equipment access, we create clean, usable corridors quickly.
Our compact track loader with forestry mulching head is purpose-built for trail work. We cut and grind everything — brush, small trees, stumps — right on site, leaving a cleared path that's ready to use immediately. No mess, no hauling, and minimal disruption to surrounding property.
Types of Trails We Clear
ATV & UTV Trail Creation
Clear new trails through woods or pasture for quad and side-by-side access. We create the right width and grade for safe passage, grinding all stumps below surface level so you can traverse at normal speed without worry.
Hunting Property Access
Get to blinds, food plots, and remote stand locations. Hunting trails need to respect cover — we clear what needs to go but leave surrounding timber and brush intact for privacy and wildlife movement.
Walking Paths and Foot Trails
Create clean, easy-to-walk paths through your property. These can be as simple as a cleared corridor, mowed and maintained, or more developed with mulch or crushed stone base.
Farm Lanes and Field Access
Reclaim old field roads or create new lanes for equipment access during growing season. We grind stumps and brush, leaving a compacted surface ready for seasonal traffic.
Utility Right-of-Way Clearing
Maintain utility corridors and easements. Whether it's for power lines, water mains, or drainage, we keep paths clear and passable.
Firebreak and Safety Corridors
Create firebreaks and defensible space around structures. A cleared corridor slows fire spread and gives emergency access where needed.

How Trail Clearing Works
Route Planning
Walk the property with you to map the ideal path. We look at grades, drainage, existing cover to protect, and how the terrain will handle equipment traffic. We mark the centerline and discuss width.
Clearing the Corridor
Start end to end with the grapple bucket for larger trees and obstacles. Switch to the mulching head for brush, saplings, and stumps. Everything gets ground to mulch and left on site for erosion control.
Stump Grinding
The forestry mulching head grinds stumps 4–6 inches below grade. For trails and light-use paths, this is sufficient. No stump will heave up or create a tripping hazard.
Final Grade and Compaction
Work the cleared surface to remove large rocks and debris. Light compaction from equipment traffic naturally hardens the surface. The result is a clean, usable path ready for its purpose.
Common Questions
How much clearing work does it take to make a usable trail?
Depends on density. Light brush or sparse timber might only need one pass with the mulching head. Dense growth with mixed trees can take longer. We give you a realistic timeline at the estimate.
Will the trail stay clear, or does brush grow back?
Brush will eventually return — nothing stops that forever. But a cleared trail stays passable for years without maintenance. Seasonal mowing in late spring helps maintain it long-term.
Can you work around trees I want to keep?
Absolutely. We're careful about what we take. If you've got mature trees or specific cover you want to preserve, we work around them. Just point them out during the walk.
Do I need to do anything after you're done?
The trail is ready to use immediately. If you want a more finished surface for regular foot traffic, you can add mulch or gravel later. For seasonal ATV trails, the cleared base is fine.
